1974 Society
UHCL's 1974 Society recognizes and celebrates those individuals who support the university with gifts to establish endowments and those who include the university in their estate plans. Donors who establish endowments for scholarships, professorships, program or other support help strengthen and sustain the university for years to come. Similarly, donors who include gifts to benefit the university in their estate plans reflect an investment in the university's future. These donors have chosen to create a legacy at UHCL by making a gift that will last beyond their lifetime.
Some common types of gifts that qualify for 1974 Society membership include:
- creating an endowment for scholarship support
- creating an endowment for faculty support
- naming UHCL as a beneficiary in your will or living trust
- naming UHCL as a beneficiary of your retirement or other account
- naming UHCL as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy
- establishing a charitable gift annuity that benefits UHCL
- naming UHCL as beneficiary of a charitable trust
- giving real property to benefit UHCL
Recognition as a member of this distinguished group is especially important because others may be inspired to make similar planned gifts. Of course, we will respect your wishes for anonymity if that is your preference.
